My laboratory studies how interactions between the microbiota, nervous system and the immune system can contribute to symptom generation in inflammatory bowel disease. Since joining the faculty at Queen’s University in 2006, his laboratory has studied neuroimmunology. Lomax received his PhD from the University of Melbourne and completed postdoctoral research training at the University of Calgary. He is a member of the Gastrointestinal Diseases Research Unit and the Centre for Neuroscience Studies.ĭr. Lomax is a Professor in the Department of Medicine and the Department of Biomedical and Molecular Sciences.
